Denis Stewart is Australia’s leading Clinical Herbalist and Naturopath.
He has been in continuous practice for over 40 years and, with his wife Ruth, is currently conducting busy practices in Newcastle and Cessnock in New South Wales, Australia.
Referred to as “The Godfather of Australian Herbalism”, Denis spearheaded the renaissance of Australian herbal medicine in the early 1970’s.
In the late 1970’s, Denis founded the Southern Cross Herbal School, offering undergraduate and post-graduate programs. From 2002-2007, Denis was a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle. In that time, he was instrumental in the construction of the Bachelor of Herbal Therapies program at the University’s Ourimbah campus.
Denis has recently conducted his final Professional Extension Herbal Medicine Diploma course as a webinar series. Originally held over 6 weekends, this massive 72 hour course is packed full of Denis’ herbal medicine knowledge and wisdom, and also includes detailed course notes from each of the 48 lectures.
